Rack n Stack, IT Infrastructure Services

Campus switching and fabric

Extreme Networks

Extreme has absorbed a lot of networking history: Enterasys, the Avaya networking business, Brocade's data center line, and Aerohive wireless. That matters practically, because a site labeled Avaya or Enterasys is now an Extreme support conversation.

We source across those lines, including hardware other suppliers have quietly stopped carrying, and we do the racking, cabling, and site work.

Hardware shipped worldwide and crews dispatched from our Las Vegas warehouse.

Our part

What we do with Extreme hardware

  • Source current and end-of-sale Extreme, Avaya, and Enterasys hardware
  • Find spares for platforms other suppliers have dropped
  • Rack, stack, cable, and label closet and core switching
  • Mount and cable access points to the coverage plan
  • Stage and pre-image before shipping to site
  • Dispatch technicians for swaps and physical troubleshooting

Where it lands

Typical deployments

  • Healthcare estates running VSP fabric across many buildings
  • Government and education campuses on long refresh cycles
  • Legacy Avaya and Enterasys sites needing spares, not replacement
  • Closet-by-closet switch refreshes with minimal downtime

Deploying Extreme at more than one site? Multi-site programs run on a fixed runbook with the same documentation at every location.

Questions we get

Extreme, answered straight

Can you still get Avaya or Enterasys branded hardware?

Often, yes. Those lines came into Extreme and plenty of that equipment is still in production. Sourcing spares for it is a regular request and one we are usually able to fill.

Do you support end-of-life switching?

We supply spares and do the physical work. Ongoing maintenance and spares stocking is a service in its own right, and it is frequently cheaper than a refresh you are not ready for.

Can you handle a phased refresh?

Yes. Closet by closet, floor by floor, or building by building, scheduled around your maintenance windows with documentation produced at each stage.
